Craig L. Press, President


Craig Press founded Profectus, Inc. in 1993 to focus on helping printers improve their business practices and embrace information technology. Craig has over 30 years of ‘hands-on’ experience in printing estimating, order entry, customer service, operations, production, cost accounting, inventory control, and information technology. Throughout his career, Craig L. Press has contributed to the success of hundreds of printing industry organizations throughout North America

Mr. Press maintains contemporary knowledge of printing industry technologies, best practices, products, software, e-commerce, JDF, equipment, operations, and services through educational events, publications, and collaboration with industry associations. Craig is also a consultant for the Printing Industries of America / Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF) and the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL). Mr. Press serves on the PIA E-Business Council (EBC) and the PIA R&D Committee.

He has lectured to many printing industry groups and has written publications and articles for the PIA Management Portfolio, GATFWorld, NAPL Special Reports, American Printer, Graphic Arts Monthly, and Printing Impressions magazines.

Victoria Copeland, Senior Consultant

Victoria Copeland has invested over 30-years of solid marketing communications experience helping organizations to align their marketing efforts with their bottom line results.  Victoria’s expertise covers a wide area of marketing skills, successfully directing public relations and media campaigns, corporate branding initiatives, internal communications programs, customer satisfaction programs, major publishing efforts, and corporate event marketing.

In addition to her achievements in the field of marketing communications in large corporate and non-profit environments, she brings to the table many years of specific printing/graphic arts industry experience.

While the old standards of quality, service and price still apply, progressive companies in the graphic arts community understand the need to know their customers through  targeted market research and strategic use of brand equity-- enabling them to retain the loyalty of current customers and attract new ones.

Manuel Press, Senior Consultant

Manuel Press maintains over 58 years of printing industry experience. He has worked in all facets of the industry including executive management, operations, sales, estimating, order entry, purchasing, billing, customer service, and production.

Manuel dedicated 30 years as Vice President of the Art Litho Company, a distinguished fortune 100 web and sheetfed commercial printer serving the Baltimore/Washington corridor.

Mr. Press has played a key role in organizational restructuring, equipment investments, pricing strategies, and the development of cost rates and production standards. He is also a specialist in the bidding and printing process of 21 regional U.S. Government Printing Offices. Manuel has been involved with the selection and implementation of custom and packaged business management software on several occasions throughout his career.

Rod Jones, Senior Consultant

Rod Jones, President and founder of Rod Jones and Associates is a 45 year printing industry veteran. For 20 years he served as personnel manager for two of Western Publishing Company's divisions.

Mr. Jones served as the President of the Printing Industry of Florida for 20 years, where he assisted hundreds of Florida graphic arts companies.

He has conducted attitude surveys that have helped printing companies identify their strengths and weaknesses. Finding solutions to problems that have substantially increased the profits of clients. His effective performance review methodology encourages company staff to work to their full capabilities. Because he has worked with small and large companies, Mr. Jones can relate to any size problem.

Rod has written numerous employee handbooks and developed company policies and practices customized to client's needs. Training and employee relation programs created by Mr. Jones are in use throughout the industry.
